2008 Subaru Impreza WRX 4Cyl2.5L - Transmissions & Drivetrains
Need advice on a clutch related issue
Today out of nowhere I came to a stop light, when I tried pulling forward my clutch became instantly stiff and would just rev up as I stepped on the gas, it was fine all day and like I said this literally happened by just coming to a stop, is this my clutch or something to do with the hydraulic system because now my pedal is stiffer and feels like nothing is even engaging, some helpful advice will be appreciated so I don't waste time or money going to get it looked at.

Nice car chief. Thank God you dont own an automatic, its a waste of the Impreza's abilities.
Try bleed the clutch system and grease the clutch slave cylinder ball area that meets the transmission fork.

it basically slips as soon as you accelerate, the clutch is stiff and it doesn't feel like its engaging, coming to a stop it just took a dump.

In my experience, a clutch slipping is a sign that you need to replace the clutch parts (pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing).

However, for the stiffness, it sounds to me as though you have dislodged the clutch arm of the ball pin inside the gearbox this means its not pushing your thrust bearing properly it can be put back in place by jacking the car up and pull the rubber back look inside the bell housing of the gearbox and you can see where it needs to be

I will definitely give it a try and let you know, hopefully it's that simple. and the reservoir seems to be moving a lot more than it should when you press the clutch in, its basically a creaking noise.
