HouseCallAuto 10/1/2012yes, erase the codes and see if they return. you are in the right spot as the vehicle speed sensor is on the trans and if the wires atre eaten or damaged or broken in any way you will set a C0236, however, the C0265 is a code most often caused by a bad Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). It is likely that the two codes are unrelated as the C0265 is as common as bears in the forest. I can post a detailed diagnostic for the C0265 and maybe something more on the P0236 if you are able to use a digital voltmeter and are ready and able to do some circuit tests.
mike 10/1/2012the wires i fixed were on the passenger side on top of transfer case.I would like more info on the co265 please.Thank you in advance. when it was scanned it said it was a relay
mike 10/1/2012scanner says solenoid valve relay circuit
HouseCallAuto 10/1/2012I meant C0236 not P0236. The C0236 is related to the vehicle speed sensor or VSS. The C0265 is a relay circuit - code title = EBCM Relay Circuit. The 'relay circuit" is not separate but is part of the EBCM. -
