2000 Chrysler LHS Base 6Cyl3.5L - Engine
2000 Chrysler LHS sounds like a tractor
I have a 2000 Chrysler LHS. I have replaced the radiator, rubber bushings, front brakes, had an oil change and serpentine belts. I recently noticed I was leaking transmission fluid. My husband was told to add some stop leak. We drove the car home that aftrernoon and the next day on our way to church the car started jerking and really didnt want to change gears. It started making this pitch squeling noise along with a clunk. We were told by another mechanic that it was the lower bearing on the motor. He told us to drain the oil add lucas and fill back up with thick oil and the noise should stop for awhile. This has not worked, someone has even went as far as told me to put a little kerosene in the motor and burn super gas and that will stop the noise is this safe. I have already put over 1000.00 in this car in the last month, can you tell me whats wrong with it...

You need to get it to a reputable trans shop for a rebuild. That trans is ka-put, my friend.
