1998 Ford Taurus SE 6Cyl3.0L - Transmissions & Drivetrains

My 1998 Ford Taurus will not shift into gear. This happened all of a sudden, my wife had driven the car earlier .

The vechicle will not shift into gear, the shift lever moves to the gear but the vehicle will not go into gear selected?

  Chechnya the trans fluid level prior to starting the vehicle. Then check trans fluid level after starting the vehicle. If the levels are the same the pump rod is broken. Get a trans replacement or rebuild.
