1967 Covette Amp Gauge Doesn't work

Theres a new alternator , regulator, & battery, replaced the gauge with a new one , still won't work. HELP !!!! I know GM had a problem with this, but what is the secret to repair ????

  Chek and make sure its in series it has to go through the amp gauge in order to read amperage. Sounds like a wiring problem follow the wires from alternator to amp gauge see if there is any problem along the way. also there is a chance it is on a fuse check your fuses. there are 2 fuses for the alternator circuit.
