1
Open your hood and locate your air intake system.

2
Loosen the hose clamps that tighten your air filter to the air intake boot in front of the mass air flow (MAF) sensor/air mass meter.

3
Loosen the hose clamps that hold the mass air flow sensor (MAF) /air mass meter to the intake boot and to the engine. Remove the mass air flow sensor/air mass meter for inspection or replacement.

4
Inspect the mass air flow sensor/air mass meter wires in a direct light source. Verify dirty build up that would obstruct the engine computer's reading of the air flow. If cleaning (only) is needed - then use a spray (aerosol) cleaner designated / formulated for mass air flow meters. Use of any other type cleaner may damage the sensor.

5
Install the new or cleaned mass air flow (MAF) sensor/air mass meter unit. Tighten the sensor bolts.
6
Tighten all hose clamps and check the entire air intake system for leaks.
