Locate and open the tailgate handle.

Locate the tailgate handle mounting screws.

Remove the tailgate handle mounting screws. Disconnect the latch rod.

Remove the tailgate handle from the tailgate.

Compare the new tailgate handle to ensure a correct fit.

Attach the latch rod and install the new tailgate handle. Tighten the mounting screws.

Open and close the tailgate to test the handle for proper operation.
