Locate your rear step bumper.

Inspect your rear step bumper for damage.
Dents and rust spots on the step bumper

Remove your damaged rear step bumper from its mounting brackets.

Remove any components attached to the step bumper. This may or may not include a license plate, tow hitch, lights or trim pieces.

Temporarily install the new step bumper to ensure that it is the correct replacement part.

Attach the new step bumper to the mounting brackets and torque the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.

Reattach all of the components that were removed from the old bumper onto the new bumper.

Inspect the new rear step bumper for proper alignment and installation.
